Loved it! Great read will stay on my shelf to reread。 Learning our authority in Christ is super important
Jonathan,
A must read for every believer in Jesus。 God has endowed us with so much authority and we often let the devil run roughshod over us due to ignorance。 This book lays out scriptural evidence of the believers authority。 I also learned about the supernatural power available from meditating on Gods word
Kirstie,
Great book that every Christian should read!

and the righteous shall live by faith A pathway to truly manifesting the Power of God in your life! This book changed my situation in July/August this year as I battled a truly depressing situation and the Lord met me through this book and empowered me greatly。 Praise God! God bless you Saint Kenneth Hagin! I know you’re a Saint sitting in the bosom of the Lord
Katie Reed,
I read this book so I had an entrance into a conversation with my brother who's pretty deep in the prosperity gospel movement。 I tried to go into it with an open mind and an open heart, but I just can't reconcile how someone could believe what Kenneth Hagin writes in this book and then claim they also wholly believe the Bible。 It doesn't make sense to me, and quite honestly it breaks my heart。 I read this book so I had an entrance into a conversation with my brother who's pretty deep in the prosperity gospel movement。 I tried to go into it with an open mind and an open heart, but I just can't reconcile how someone could believe what Kenneth Hagin writes in this book and then claim they also wholly believe the Bible。 It doesn't make sense to me, and quite honestly it breaks my heart。 。。。more

The wonderful book This book is for the spiritually mature Christians。 People who believe in the Holy Spirit and in the Bible entirely。 It’s not for the unbelievers who don’t Believe God or the Best Bible。 It’s a great book and great teachings by Pastor Kenneth Hagin。 One of my he best and more powerful book I’ve ever read on Christianity。
Ruth,
Brother Hagin's small books are power packed。 This volume covers the topic of spiritual authority。 Much of the study comes out of the prayers in Ephesians。 Brother Hagin's small books are power packed。 This volume covers the topic of spiritual authority。 Much of the study comes out of the prayers in Ephesians。 。。。more

Enlighting materialThe Truth lines up with experience in this book。 It helped me a lot to understand about my authority given by Christ to me。 Even though I come from a ministry which moves in spiritual warfare, I did not have the knowledge that this book contains about my authority over the enemy's forces。 Enlighting materialThe Truth lines up with experience in this book。 It helped me a lot to understand about my authority given by Christ to me。 Even though I come from a ministry which moves in spiritual warfare, I did not have the knowledge that this book contains about my authority over the enemy's forces。 。。。more

It’s alrightThis book is alright。 Was recommended by a friend to get an in-depth view of Christianity。 Definitely interesting and I intend to re-read it but not as revealing as other literature on the subject matter。
Rosie Simpson,
A must read for every believer! One of the few books that have truly impacted my faith life。 Wow。 Kenneth Hagin is a hero in the faith and his teaching is excellent。

Good book to learn your authority in Christ。 Lot of spiritual and demonic oppressed examples。
Tremayne Moore,
This book was beyond amazing。 What I like about this book is that it's broken down into layman's terms。 Yes, we have authority in "The Name。" And there are many people who ask, isn't it witchcraft to try to dominate other people's lives。 Kenneth Hagin speaks on that in the final chapter, we can't authority over human wills。 Every person has to make their own decision。The whole premise of the book is to show that you don't have to tolerate any spirit that's not of God in your life and in your fam This book was beyond amazing。 What I like about this book is that it's broken down into layman's terms。 Yes, we have authority in "The Name。" And there are many people who ask, isn't it witchcraft to try to dominate other people's lives。 Kenneth Hagin speaks on that in the final chapter, we can't authority over human wills。 Every person has to make their own decision。The whole premise of the book is to show that you don't have to tolerate any spirit that's not of God in your life and in your family's life。 You have been given authority the moment you accepted Christ。 It's just that simple。 This book doesn't disappoint。 And get this, it's a short read。 。。。more

Excellent。。。 even to this day! The joy of reading this book was so inspiring。 If you have forgotten a lot of bible text, you’ll get a lot from this book。 This was such a pleasant read and I would read it again。 It contains some of the greatest scripture that Jesus ever spoke。
Allison (small break from GR until some home renovations get done) Faught,
For someone who apparently adores the New Testament, Hagin really doesn’t seem to understand the message of humility。 His judgement upon acquaintances over the years is cringe-worthy。 He calls himself a man of God, yet feels the need to judge others because their viewpoints are different than his own。 He needs to take a step back and allow God to be the judge on judgement day。Don’t get me wrong, I love a great book involving scripture and holding me accountable for my actions。 But to be told fro For someone who apparently adores the New Testament, Hagin really doesn’t seem to understand the message of humility。 His judgement upon acquaintances over the years is cringe-worthy。 He calls himself a man of God, yet feels the need to judge others because their viewpoints are different than his own。 He needs to take a step back and allow God to be the judge on judgement day。Don’t get me wrong, I love a great book involving scripture and holding me accountable for my actions。 But to be told from this pretentious man to ‘drive the Cadillac and live like a King as Jesus did’ goes against everything I believe in and how I am going to raise my kids。 I didn’t have much I could get on board with that he had to say。 I will, however, give this book 2 stars instead of 1 because I understand religious views can come in many different layers and not everything has to be so black and white。 I can respect that his opinion differs greatly than mine, but at least he appears to be very passionate about it and truly believes this is the right way of doing things。 I can’t give 1 star to someone so driven by their passion。 。。。more

Second time reading this book。 As always, more revelation since the first time。 This is one book that can be read weekly until the we walk as Jesus walked, assured God is with us, Operating in the authority we have through Christ take practice and the more we practice, the more confidence we have in declaring His word。
Angeline Gallant,
This was the first book I read by this author and found it to be an eye opener。

I think every person who calls themselves a Christian, a true follower of Christ should read this book。 I love that it's a short read。 It gets to the point, has some great nuggets, and gets down to the nitty gritty of the authority we carry within us and how and when to exercise it。 I think every person who calls themselves a Christian, a true follower of Christ should read this book。 I love that it's a short read。 It gets to the point, has some great nuggets, and gets down to the nitty gritty of the authority we carry within us and how and when to exercise it。 。。。more
Jerry,
This book aroused my consciousness about the very simple things that I read from the bible but have failed to give them the full attention and to work with them for my freedom。 Papa Hagin itemised and clarified the sources of my authority in Christ。 Its amazing that I have also mentioned them in my book but not actively as Papa Hagan did。I recommend it for all Christians。

Believers authority a must read bookGreat book。 An eye opener to the truth。 Every born again believer need to know the authority that God has given us。 Every believer needs to know how to operate in faith to overcome the work of the darkness。 We need to exercise the authority by commanding things to be aligned with the truth of God's word。 God has already done everything we need for life through his grace。 Our job is to appropriate what it belong to us and speaking to the mountain in faith。 Believers authority a must read bookGreat book。 An eye opener to the truth。 Every born again believer need to know the authority that God has given us。 Every believer needs to know how to operate in faith to overcome the work of the darkness。 We need to exercise the authority by commanding things to be aligned with the truth of God's word。 God has already done everything we need for life through his grace。 Our job is to appropriate what it belong to us and speaking to the mountain in faith。 。。。more

I read this heretical book for the sake of witnessing to a family friend who is trapped in the prosperity gospel (Word of Faith) movement。The author claims that believers have an authority that is on par with God。 He even goes so far as to say that there are things that Jesus can't do that we can。 This book attributes an incredible amount of power to Satan and his demons, while diminishing the absolute sovereignty of God。The author often misquotes and misapplies Scripture, redefines words in a w I read this heretical book for the sake of witnessing to a family friend who is trapped in the prosperity gospel (Word of Faith) movement。The author claims that believers have an authority that is on par with God。 He even goes so far as to say that there are things that Jesus can't do that we can。 This book attributes an incredible amount of power to Satan and his demons, while diminishing the absolute sovereignty of God。The author often misquotes and misapplies Scripture, redefines words in a way that is convenient to his errant presuppositions, and heavily rests on supposed visions that he had with Jesus, where Jesus gave him secret and personal knowledge about what certain Bible verses mean。 The book is also filled with anecdotes, baseless claims and particular experiences, all of which I have no reason to believe as true since this man lies about things that can be verified using sound hermeneutics when handling Scripture。A number of heresies are discussed in this book, but here are a list of the ones that leaped out at me。。。- Hagin claims that we inherit the very name of Jesus。 Jesus' name belongs to Him alone。 Often the Word of Faith movement puts an emphasis on Jesus' name as a magic incantation (as is the case in several places in this book)。 Jesus' name is representative of who He is。 We are not Jesus, so we don't get His name。- Many times in this book, the sinfulness of mankind is downplayed and blame-shifted to spirits within that person。 This replaces personal responsibility (a clear biblical doctrine) with that of victimization。- In some very poor mishandling of the Ephesians text, Hagin makes the statement that Christians are actually seated at the right hand of God the Father。 "When Christ sat down, we sat down, too。" This is absurd and is likened to deifying all Christians。 He actually says that "all things have been put under our feet"。 To further add to Hagin's claims to the deification of man, he actually refers to Adam as a god。- Hagin destroys the very fabric of the gospel by calling the cross a place of defeat (as in, Jesus' defeat)。 This is a damning lie。 If it was a defeat, why did Jesus say "It is finished!" when He died and not when he was raised? Why was the veil torn in the holy of holies upon His death and not when He was resurrected? Hagin says we should focus less on a cross and more on a throne。 This alone is enough to discredit everything else Hagin claims。 On a related note, speaking of victory later on in the book he says "Our job is to enforce His victory。 His victory belongs to us。" God shares His glory with no one。 The victory is His alone!- Hagin regularly exhorts Christians to "demand your rights"。 This speaks of entitlement, which is anti-biblical。 The only thing we are entitled to is hell。 Grace is unmerited favor。 The notion of entitlement is an assault on God's grace。 He even tells us to demand things of the devil。 But we should have nothing to do with Satan。- Hagin makes the claim that God needs our help。 That there are things that Jesus is incapable of doing。 He takes the analogy of the body of Christ too far。 According to Hagin, since Jesus is just the head of the body, he needs the rest of the body to do His will。 Again, this shows the weak false god that Word of Faith preachers promote in their teaching。 A god who needs our help and who is incapable of doing anything without us。 Nothing could be further from the truth when it comes to the God of the Bible。 Hagin supports this with a supposed vision he had, where Jesus quoted Matt 28:18 and then apparently said "But I immediately delegated my authority on earth to the church, and I can work only through the church, for I am the Head of the church。" Who needs the Bible when you can rely on Kenneth Hagin's uncontested visions? What if I made a claim that I have seen a vision of Jesus where He said Kenneth Hagin's visions were all fabricated? Here are some other things that should raise red flags to any who read this book。。。- He talks about how he prayed through the prayers in Ephesians over 1000 times。 As a result of this vain repetitious prayer (Mt 6:7), he is now an authority on the book of Ephesians。- He regularly exhorts readers to stop using our intellect when handling the Scriptures。 God is the one who gave us a mind, after all。- He calls Satan a defeated foe。 Yet so much emphasis in the Word of Faith movement is on how Satan continues to interfere in the life of Christians and the world。 Satan is still a real and present threat in this world。 He is not bound yet。 We are not called to rebuke the devil (as Hagin redefines the word "resist" to mean)。- Hagin makes the claim that authority can only be exercised if evil is present。 That is completely untrue。 If that is true, then God's authority dries up at the end of the age。- Hagin - "I go as much by what He doesn't say as I do by what He does say。"- Because of how many people are duped by the fake healing ministry of this movement, I was particularly disgusted by how he addresses why some people "lose their healing"。 It's not because they were never healed in the first place。 Hagin attributes this recession into their old debilitated state to their lack of faith and to Satan。 This is anti-biblical on all fronts。 These people were never healed。 A liar and a fraud like Hagin wouldn't have the power to heal people。 So, when people "lose their healing", what does a liar and a fraud say in response? "They didn't have enough faith to keep it。" It doesn't require much of a study of Scripture to find plenty of examples where Jesus and the apostles healed people where faith on the part of the healed was not present。 If the healings done by Jesus and the apostles were dependent on faithless people and not on a gracious God, then God is really not all that mighty to save after all since He can't even keep people healed after a miracle。 That is the conclusion you must come to if you are part of this movement。To close this long review, if someone offers you this book, throw it in the fire (or keep it during a toilet paper shortage)。 If you are trapped in this movement, I would encourage you to think critically about the things these false teachers tell you。 Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, and false teachers are not going to tell you that they are lying to you (which should be an obvious truth)。 Be like the Bereans, who didn't take even Paul's word for it, but searched the Scriptures to make sure what he said was true。 。。。more

( read as textbook for correspondence course )Strong life-changing text。 Basic principles。 Much of this read was reinforcement from a now closed church which Our Heavenly Father had placed me at for approximately 2 1/2 years。 Have listened to the audio companion sermons dozens of times and have always come away with new revelation。 Will be periodically spending more time with this book as a re-read, and already know that each time I will come away with more。 Highly recommended。
